Over with Bulgaria

In the past years many Romanian used to register their new cars in Bulgaria. The car is new for them, but actually we talk about second hand cars bought from other countries, especially for EU.
The reason for that it was simple: in Romania still there is a registration fee or pollution tax which is the same, but which would cost a lot of money. Some cases this tax was even higher than the price paid for the car. In order to avoid it, many Romanians went to Bulgaria, registered their cars there and did not paid any tax.
However... the new goverment now is stopping this. How? Well, by a new law which would say that all Romanian citizens can drive in Romania a foreign car for maximum 30 days only. After it, no more driving or register the car in Romania.
Glad that is not our case.
